Weekly Review 8

And another week just flew by, didn’t it? With classes and all the other stuff I do, time seems to fly by at a rather quick pace. Let’s see if I can recall at least some of the things I did this past week. I played football on Thursday and on Tuesday, but that’s not new and there is not much to tell about it anyway, so let’s skip those days.
On Friday we had company. Julia and Annette are actually travelling through and working in India for half a year and that’s where Peter and Steven met them, but the girls decided to spend a couple of weeks in Sri Lanka, so when they told us, that they are here we invited them over for dinner at our place. We had chicken and rice and Arrack and we shared stories through out the evening.
Saturday was poker night. Seb (one of the football guys) invited us and a bunch of other people over to his house for a game of Texas Hold’em.  Let’s just say, that I didn’t lose any money, and that Cuba is a little bit more free.
Sunday was for recovery, obviously, so there isn’t much to tell about that day either, but on Monday we had our first “cooking lesson” in traditional Sri Lankan food. A friend of ours who is learning to become a chef came over and showed us how to make a more or less traditional Sri Lankan curry. It was delicious and I hope it will be as good as this when we try it on our own.
So, that’s it for this last week. Oh, I almost forgot, we went to university a couple of times as well. It’s not just fun and games anymore; most of the time we actually have to work for our classes now.
